BeSomething receives Honourable Mention at REDGEES 2016- Canadian Regional Design Awards (Toronto)!

We are honoured to be nominated FINALISTS at the 2016 Redgees- Canadian Regional Design Awards.

We received the Regional HONOURABLE MENTION award for our Prairie Noodle Shop brand development & interiors project!

"Absent the style of decor that tends to signify Japanese cuisine, Prairie Noodle Shop doesn’t look like a stereotypical ramen joint. While the popular noodle soup hails from Japan, the new Edmonton eatery’s offerings and overall identity take to heart the dish’s adaptability to new locations...branding and restaurant design likewise play the local angle, opting for a prairie theme centred around silhouettes of three iconic farm animals: a chicken, a cow and a pig...Expanding on the brand identity, the interior features prairie flora and fauna throughout in the form of wall graphics and cutouts..."

"Prairie Noodle Shop’s cozy home is down a short flight of concrete steps facing the ever-busy, ever-tony 124th Street. The interminable queues and apologetic “sold out” signs of the Shop’s nascent days have dissipated now and a comfortable crowd, spanning smartly dressed twentysomethings to families with babies, jockeys for seats. Silhouettes of prairie fauna – coyotes, hares, bison, pronghorn antelope – are etched out of plywood, frozen mid-gallop across the entire length of the dining room. The kitchen crew, clad in black T-shirts and rugged aprons, are all business and wry smiles. Co-owner Arden Tse is working the room tonight, and greets diners with easy conviviality..."
