WHAT WE DID:
We engaged our artistic beinteriors services.
We used the client's existing branding and extended it into the design of their new tasting room space to create an immersive experience for event guests.
THE RESULT:
A Tasting Room like no other- this artistic interior space reinforces the spirit of community and encourages guest engagement.
Event guests discover tastes from around the world sitting altogether at the 36 ft (11m) custom S-shaped table; immersed in a room filled with over 4,000 bottles of various wines & spirits.
Sherbrooke Liquor, a well-known family-owned liquor store, carries one of Canada's largest selections of wines and alcohols from around the world.
The client engaged with us to design their expanded space next door. They wanted a space that will "push the limits" of tasting/sampling rooms...something creative, different, and with a good atmosphere. The new space is to be multi-functional and have a tasting area that sits 30 people, an office, a bathroom, kitchenette and storage for overstock bottles for the store.
The carefully considered combination of shape, colour, texture and lighting is designed to playfully stimulate the senses.
Located on busy Jasper Avenue, the project called for a series of cost-effective interventions that would add warmth and definition to the vast but somewhat undefined space of Viet-Thai restaurant - Hoang Long. The design concept played on the "Asian market" idea. Installations combine traditional and contemporary elements, mostly suspended from the ceiling. A cluster of colourful Vietnamese paper lanterns defines the cafe and bar zone, while organically-shaped CNC'd canopy structures reminiscent of boats or Vietnamese dragons create a "marketplace" feel and guide customers into the restaurant. The flow of the space was also redesigned, including a new seating arrangement, built-in bench, bar, and a (bamboo) screened area for private events or larger groups.

First, we studied the client's existing brand and their new space.
We got inspired by the brand's "S" icon.
And then, we proceeded to extend this into the interior space.
